This project involved organizing a staff operated kitchen within a recovery focused educational facility. 

The space supports daily meal preparation by a professional cook serving participants throughout an eight-hour program day. Systems were designed for efficiency, clarity, and ease of maintenance. While honoring the therapeutic environment and confidentiality of the individuals served.

A blank canvas doesn't mean an easy start. In this recovery center kitchen, we had to create a high volume professional workflow using zero organizing products; logic and layout was preferred.

Working with a professional chef meant every second counts. I organized the entire kitchen using only what was on hand to ensure a seamless 'line flow.' This proves that you don't need expensive bins and labels to have a world class system; you just need a clear plan for how the space is used.
